Matt graduated from NYU with a Masters in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. His Master’s thesis was on student loan debt, its effect on one’s ability to accumulate assets, and whether its necessity might outweigh the financial benefits of a college degree. His professional and research interests lie primarily in data analytics, mostly in predictive but also in inferential analysis. Prior to returning to school, Matt worked as a financial analyst for the boutique investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. He is also a former Division I football athlete.
