Gary Tan is currently in the M.A. Economics program at Columbia University. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. His interests lie in experimental design and impact evaluation work in the context of development and urban economics. He is also keen to learn more about recent advances in economic policy, particularly its intersections with data science and behavioral science. In philosophy, he is interested in the philosophy of science and social science. Gary works on JFI's Opportunity Zones and Basic Income initiatives.
