Armen Enikolopov is a Fellow of the Jain Family Institute. He defended his PhD in neuroscience at Columbia University in 2018. His doctoral work focused on neural mechanisms involved in sensory perception and the formation of a sense of self. Beyond academic work, his popular science writing has been appeared in New York Magazine and been short listed for the National Magazine Award. His work as a ceramicist has shown at galleries and museums such as the Jewish Museum, his work as a film editor has screened at the Sundance Film Festival. At JFI, his his current focus is on the Digital Ethics and Universal Basic Income initiatives.
