Melody Rowell
External Fellow, Strict Scrutiny podcast

Melody Rowell is an External Fellow at JFI. She is the producer of Strict Scrutiny, a podcast about the Supreme Court and the legal culture that surrounds it. She is a graduate of the Transom Story Workshop in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. For two and a half years, she worked in photography at National Geographic as a coordinator for the magazine and an assistant editor for the news team. Now, she lives in Kansas City, Missouri, where she works a day job at KCUR 89.3, the local public radio station.

Melody holds a master’s degree in Nonfiction Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She graduated from the Oxbridge Honors Program at William Jewell College with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Theory. She also has a certificate from an 8-week beekeeping class, but that’s another story.
