Brendan Florez

Brendan Florez was the co-founder and CEO of ISA provider Base Capital until its merger with AlmaPact, where he now acts as a Senior Advisor. He joined JFI as an Affiliate Researcher in 2020.

Brendan has been involved in the ISA space since 2013, including helping draft the Investing in Student Success Act of 2017. Prior to Base, Brendan was spearheading U.S. operations at Lumni, the oldest and largest ISA company globally. Prior to that, Brendan was Chief Operating Officer at Polyera, a high-tech semiconductor startup before the sale of that business in 2016. Brendan received his degree from Princeton University in Electrical Engineering with a focus on signal processing and neuroscience.
